Why You Need These Brushes:

When preparing the underside of your car for Lanoguard application, sometimes it’s necessary to remove flakes of old coatings or flaking rust, anything that would create an unstable surface. While you do not need to remove old coatings to apply Lanoguard, you should remove anything that is flaking off. If you apply Lanoguard to an unstable surface, it will come off when the surface underneath it flakes off, leaving that area unprotected.

A light wire brushing is a really good way of removing any flaking material. Standard wire brushes work well, but they aren’t easy to use if you are underneath the car and can be difficult to get into nooks and crannies. Our wire brush kit includes a double-handled wire brush for preparing larger areas with more vigor and a micro wire brush for getting into the tighter places on an underbody, like crease seams and weld seams.

Important Note:

If you have wire brushed the underside of your vehicle and exposed any bare metal, you must cover this area with Lanoguard Moto Grease, not just Moto Spray. We don’t recommend using Lanoguard Moto Spray alone on bare metal as it needs the heavier duty protection of the Moto Grease.
